Wat color of shoes go with a brown dress?

im going to a very nice party for the military and im wearing a brown dress for the occassiona but i cant find the kolor of shoes to go with it ..

Wat color of shoes go with a brown dress?
Brown, black, taupe, cream, white (with the right accessories) ... any neutral color...
Reply:if you add something else with the same color like a scarf, or jewelry or purse, then any color will work. red, pink, green, blue, yellow, tan, etc. some brown boots in the same color brown would be killer, but it's hard to match browns.
Reply:your shoes should always match your dress or your skirt
Reply:white brown tan
Reply:try blue, or maybe green if all fails then black.
Reply:Brown or any natrual tone.tan,beige,cream. Black would also work. You could always have a pair. dyed to the same shade as your dress
Reply:Black or brown is the safest color. If you want to explore more RED or YELLOW. Wear heels too, it's better. :D
Reply:neutrals

or a lighter brown

or a darker brown
Reply:brown or black depending on the type of dress
Reply:do metallic gold or bronze...if you want to be vampy and fun do a red patent
Reply:Try beige, tan, and wear pantyhose the color of your shoes
Reply:If it's a casual military party, I'd wear some flat white jazz shoes if the dress is just a flouncy garden dress. They are particularly gorgeous. If boots go with the dress, try blue ruched ankle boots with a heel because ruched flats look horrible with dresses. But if your going for the formal look, I'd try some brown suede peep-toe pumps or blue open-toe platform slingbacks.
Reply:cream would blend well
Reply:I would say a nice rose red would ensure that you aren't wearing too much dark, but it also wouldn't be too bright and garish.
Reply:Brown, tan or a gold color
Reply:Black or you can even do teal as long as you wear some teal jewelry. Brown and teal is always cute together
Reply:Gold...metalic is very in right now and works well with brown.
Reply:neutral, beige, etc.
Reply:if the dress is dark brown, wear light brown/beige. if its light brown wear dark brown shoes. if that doesnt work, maybe try dark green that is kinda khaki
Reply:beige or black
Reply:brown shoes
Reply:Brown, black or if you are accessorizing with another color and have shoes to match that would work
Reply:black

irovy

white

brown

navy

beige

silver(maybe)
Reply:You can never go wrong with black.....

:)
Reply:black would be perfect
Reply:u can try

Can I wear red/black shoes with a solid black dress?

I am wearing a black just-below-the-knee dress tomorrow with black sheer hose and am considering wearing the shoes below. Is that ok? Or do I have to be wearing something red?

Can I wear red/black shoes with a solid black dress?
You should were a red handbag and maybe cute red accesories.
Reply:i don't see any reason why not. make sure your other accessories match the shoes. you'll look great.
Reply:too kute
Reply:shoes look great.. but i wud pass on the hose... makes it too formal i think.. carry a deep red bag to make it more interesting..
Reply:That would be cute! It's good to add color somewhere other than the dress. Trust me. I watch What Not to Wear sort of religiously. Good luck with your outfit! God Bless!
Reply:you can totally wear the shoes
Reply:I would also make sure that your other accessories match - get a purse, necklace and earrings the same shade of red and that will tie the entire outfit together.
Reply:Yep
Reply:red is fine in fact i think it'd be cute. but it depends on the style of the dress and the shoes but in most cases ya thatd be rele cute!!!!
Reply:I think it would look great together.
Reply:That's fine. BTW: Nice shoes...
Reply:I love them, and you don't need red accessories, b/c then you'll have to match just the right shade and you'll look like you're trying too hard to match.
Reply:Yes you can..
Reply:yeah that would look ok
Reply:Yes you can, I would accent it a bit by adding a black and red purse to it.
Reply:those shoes look lovely.
Reply:Those shoes are awesome, i'd totally wear them. They should go great with the dress. Good luck and God bless
Reply:Absolutely red and black are a perfect combination and very stylish.
Reply:the shoes are perfect
Reply:Those are cute!

I would wear them.
Reply:I think those shoes would look great!! It will give the outfit a little splash of color.

What color shoes should I wear to match a dress that is dusty rose shot through with antique gold?

I've purchased a dress and planned to have my shoes and purse dyed to match. The resulting dress turned out to be dusty rose woven with antique gold-colored threads. This is for a semi-formal, daytime event; what color should I have my shoes and purse dyed, in order not to clash, or be too bright for daytime?

What color shoes should I wear to match a dress that is dusty rose shot through with antique gold?
antique gold
Reply:I hope you are white, cause if you are dark you are choosing wrong colors for your dress...

If you can, dye shoes and purse dusty rose. You can wear this color any time.

Matching will never be out of style, specially for formal and semi-formal occasions; it shows that the person knows about style...And you must know that the less you match, the fatter you look...has any designer told you that? They need skeletons to convince you other way...
Reply:gold shoes are in style perferably stelettos are in, but if the weather isn't agreable go for a 2 inch max heel opened or close depending on your tollereance for weather condtions.

No one ever thinks about the weather when picking out there shoes for events, remember to check for hourly weather as well.
Reply:Black would be best for daytime. You could use gold at night. Matching bags and shoes are out of style now.
Reply:I wouldn't dye the shes and purse to match. You run the risk of it actually not coming out the right shade and looking worse. Having your shoes and purse match with you outfit exactly is really hoax-y looking anymore. It's more acceptable not to match up, as long as your options compliment the dress. If your dress has an accent of antique gold in it, try to find shoes in the gold spectrum (plus metallics are really hot right now) same thing with your purse. If you plan to match your shoes and purse, try to keep them close to the same shade as possible. I suggest a muted paler antique gold as opposed to a bright brassy gold (think cheap doorknobs). Well I hope this helps you dome, good luck! Have fun!!

Good luck at your graduation, have fun!
Reply:a heel with a wedge toe..in black :D
Reply:go to macys.com you should wear a shoe with an open toe and a strap back shoe. i agree with the person who said the dress looks mature for someone graduating from middle school. nice dress for someone older.
Reply:Well, wedges or sandals with a heel, I think that type of thing whereas it's not too laid-back or too old.

-Ciao
Reply:WEAR THE SHOES IN THE PICTURE!!!! it goes great with the dress
Reply:no offence..

but that dress is really too mature for someone still in middle school..
Reply:I'm not crazy about the dress... but some black flats with a bow at the toe would be great and would really match the theme of the dress.
Reply:umm i think mabe some flats

Can you help find the perfect shoes for my black cocktail dress?! Please!?

I am a presonal attendant in an evening wedding and will be in the pictures and considered part of the bridal party. The bridesmaids are wearing floor lenght black evening gowns so I went with a black coctail dress (the link is attached below). My first thought for shoes were actually a pair I already owned... and just happened to be wearing when I picked the dress (also attached). I am starting to have doubts I just don't love the two together. Can you suggest a "style" that would work? Pump? Strappy sandal? Please help!

Can you help find the perfect shoes for my black cocktail dress?! Please!?
why don't you talk to the bride first.............since she's the 'queen for the day', and you'll be in her pictures, she might want you to wear a certain style! but i would go w/ a strappy open toe heel, how tall are you? if height matters to you, go for a pump or even flats! but check w/ the bride first! : ) dont stress......... : )
Reply:I bought my girlfriend some clear high heels that light up when you walk. We went on a cruise and she got so many comments on them that I just had to tell everyone that I picked them out. They look really high class and expensive but I think they were only like $30.
Reply:strappy metalic heels (i'd go w/ silver ones)
Reply:I think the dress is darling. It's so pretty and cute, but I don't think the sandal exactly matches. It's still a good match, but not perfect. I would recommend the http://www.stevemadden.com/customization...

Just customise the colors to match (black, of course), or find a similar style on Ebay. I think that http://cgi.ebay.com/NYC-GUESS-BLACK-SATI...

is pretty.
Reply:I think the black shoes you picked out (from attachments) are perfect.
Reply:The shoe is all wrong. Go with a classic black pump, or a black sandal. The dress is strapless, so don't go overboard with detail on the shoes. Simple but elegant. The shoe has too much detail.

Good luck!
Reply:I see what you mean, the shoes you have are too closed in for that style of dress. You don't want "heavy looking " shoes with that. Go for a strappy sandal type of evening shoe, black,or maybe match a pair with the colour of the waist of the dress.Definitely not pumps!Have a great time, the dress is beautiful!
Reply:love the dress but for the shoes look here:http://www.dazzlingheels.com/product_inf...
Reply:Pumps are so in these days, although A pointy toe sling back in black with a 31/2 inch heel would look better with your dress.
Reply:The dress is super cute and so are the shoes, but i don't think they match all that well. I would try these..........
Reply:I like the shoes and the dress
Reply:The shoes you have would look good. You could even go with strappy sandal heels and silky evening sheer hose. That would look awesome!
Reply:I like those shoes, but not with that dress. I think pumps are too boring. A nice pair of heels would look great. Maybe slides. You are the focus, so simple and elegant is better.
Reply:Try looking on ebay

Can I wear black shoes with a dark brown dress?

I am wearing a dark brown halter dress to a wedding this weekend. I have a pair of black heals and would like to avoid having to buy a new pair of shoes.

Can I wear black shoes with a dark brown dress?
I think its ok- but I wold have to accesorize the dress with something black to bring it together some. A broch, belt, purse, earrings, necklace... just a couple of things to add ot make the shoes tie in better would help- especially for a wedding. If you dont hvae any, I would make a fast trip to Payless and get some inexpensive brown shoes or sale sandles.

The above comment suggesting Gold shoes was really good. that would look really nice with brown also!
Reply:To a Wedding? Black and Brown? Excuse me for saying so, but how absolutely drab! I would go with something a lot lighter in color. A pastel if anything, no earth tones!
Reply:You bet you can. Black goes with just about anything.
Reply:Yeah, their both neutral colors, so it should look fine :)
Reply:NO i AM SORRY YOU CAN'T. YOU SHOULD WEAR A COLOR IN THE BROWN FAMILY OR WEAR A BLACK SHAWL OR LITTLE JACKET AND THEN WEAR BLACK SHOES,YOU HAVE TO TIE THE OUTFIT TOGETHER SOMEHOW OR WEAR A BLACK DRESS OR BORROW OTHER SHOES? SECOND HAND SHOP OR CONSIGNMENT STORE
Reply:it would make u appear very dull dear:)but since u would like to avoid buying a new shoe, then play on ur makeup then-make it bright.
Reply:yes i guess
Reply:Yes, black would be OK, but think how glam you would look in a pair of gold sandals with a halter dress. Go to Payless and grab a cheap pair then dance the heels off at the reception!!
Reply:pair the brown dress with a black cardigan/wrap whatever and some black jewlery, necklace and earrings and it will look fine. For your handbag if you have one that is multiclored(but not loud) with blues and greens that would look good, if not reach for a black handbag.
Reply:AR,

I hope they are black patent shoes,

and 'barely there type' pumps.

That would work just fine -

black patent elegant pumps

are a must in a wardrobe and

may be used universally -

well within reason.....

Belle Rose Sez, above is also

correct in that you should

accentuate the black in the

upper half of the body, and

the simplest way is with a

stylish wrap and certainly

with some nice black/gold

earrings, or shinny black earrings.

Do not wear anything around

your neck with a halter dress.

And, presto, you are ready, oops

how about the bag? It must be black,

hopefully small.

Have a wonderful weeding and remember

you are only as beautiful as you feel!
Reply:It is fashionably correct to wear black shoes with a brown dress; black is considered neutral as far as shoes and purses go.
Reply:NO! I'd rather see you in dark brown flip flops. Please borrow some brown shoes! or go to K-mart and find some cheap shoes. Sorry but black shoes with a brown dress just doesn't cut it. Why? because my daughter work's at an upscale store and is majoring in fashion at the Chicago art school.
Reply:I don't like the way it looks, even though it might be considered OK. Blue goes with brown, but I'm guessing that's not an option either?

Do the black shoes have a patent (shiny) finish or a matte (dull) finish?

How about a different dress with the black heels? Brown isn't a great color to wear to a wedding, unless you don't like the couple for some reason?
Reply:do you have another dress in a different colour? for some reason, i wouldn't want the combination of brown and black, too. and if it's a wedding that you're going to, you might want to wear a pastel-cloured dress instead.
Reply:fr some reason, i cant stand black and brown together. an art director at my pervious job would often wear a black shirt and brown pants and it drove me crazy. i cant put my finger on why these colors dont go together, theyre so simular, but honstly just dont go well at all.
Reply:no, definitely not. maybe only if it was light light brown.
