If you had on this dress what color shoes would you wear?
I think you should stay away from the typical black or white shoe? What else would you suggest? I would appreciate details like what color purse and accessories?

I would get red hoop earrings and a red purse. That type of dress is really easy to change it up with different colors and still look good!

Reply:depending on the look of your ankles if they a supple, you can wear hills that are not so high, medium I'd say something you'd feel more comfortable in... and even play a little with the styles, like you could wear hills that are thicker ( but don't do the boat-like shoe thing, no way!), or cut in different shapes rather than stilletos... but if your ankles are thicker, definetly high hills and /or stilettos... that's a must... you want to draw attention to the shoe, not the ankle, and the ankle will look a lot slimmer in high hills.. I suggest strappy sandals they always seem to have a great effect and by all means, it's a holliday so go with what sparkles and shines

Work Dress Code Woes: Closed Toe Shoes?
I work in an office-type environment, but because we occasionally have to push carts around, our dress code requires closed toe shoes. To add insult to injury, I live in a steamy, sub-tropical sort of climate. We are expected to dress "business casual" and because of the weather, I usually wear skirts.
So, I need some shoe solutions. Wearing shoes without socks looks okay, but is uncomfortable and is ruining my shoes, but socks with skirts looks bizarre. Stockings are unthinkable in this heat.
Any ideas? :)

I have this problem too, but only in the summer; so this is what I do. I wear a pair of open toed wedge sandals as walking shoes on my way to work, then change into my dress shoes when I get to work. I usually wear them barefoot, but you can choose to get some footies (thin nylon socks that only cover your toes and a bit higher, about 1/2 your foot) so you can't see them but they help to minimize sweating.
Another option is to stay away from tight and pointy toes shoes and to get yourself a pair of round toe or square toed shoes----because the more room your feet have to breath, the less they will sweat.

My daughter brought this dress to wear to her prom however I've tried in vain to get shoes to match!! the colour I would desrcibe as a purpley grey blue and you can see it in the link in picture 30 the colour of the jacket and picture 28 the colour of the bag is the shade i'm looking for (If the link doesn't work the website is www.fennwrightmanson.com and the section is ascot!!! If they can't get them in, just wear a pair of black open toed shoes without a mega-high heel, and you'll be great. And take a pair of sneakers and jeans if you're going anywhere after! My 8th grade formal (more appropriate name than prom) was the best! Have fun!

Contrary to what everyone's advising - I'm thinking dark red shoes really would look cool with the outfit! (Just make sure they dont look like Dorothy's Ruby Red Shoes!!!)

Or you can try jeweltoned shoes with it!
If you do wear black shoes- try to wear something which has a surprise element to them... strappy sandals and pointy shoes not withstanding!!
Of course they have to be heels - but make sure that that is at a height and style that's comfortable for you... it wouldnt do to fall down in a heap when you're trying to make an impression!! (Wedges are a great idea if u are new to heels by the way!!)

the key is to match your accessories -- your shawl, or jacket/sweater (only wear a cropped one that ends at your rib cage) and your purse. Say you did black shoes -- you should get a black wrap/jacket/sweater, purse and necklace/earrings. If did red shoes, then you'd have more freedom with your accessories -- like diamond/crystals or all sliver...or all black for that matter. :)
If it is not such a fancy affair -- tall, high heeled boots would be HOT. If you go for tan color (esp. with a wedge heal), a cropped jean jacket would be nice. But black spiked boots...hottt. Don't forget about matching your accessories.

if you keep the dress at the same length, go for delicate silver shoes that match the detail under the bust. This will create a simple girly, but elegant look. You dont want to weigh your outfit down with heavy, dark coloured shoes.
If you decide to hem the dress, you could try getting a not-so-delicate, really brightly coloured pair of shoes - like electric blue, a really bright purple or yellow.. yes it sounds hideous, but you'd be surprised. At our school prom, this girl wore a similar silver mid-length dress teamed with electric blue shoes, she really stood out and looked amazing.

As for the hemming, it depends how tall you are. If you're petite, opt to get it hemmed because a full-length dress will just overwhelm you, and make you shorter. If you're on the taller side (5'7"+) you don't need to hem it.

But I'd deff think it would look hot on the right person! =) ...the person who knows how to work it! But I'd suggest wearing a necklace/accessory or a clutch that match both the dress and shoes to tie it together if you don't want to take that chance..
As for wearing to a graduation, I would wear whatever I wanted to wear to my graduation. =p

Even if it's just a hair clip or hair band the same colour. Or nails!
Do pretty much whatever with you're makeup, pretty neutral.
But I think you definitely need to accessorize a bit so the shoes don't stick out like a sore thumb a bit.

Reply:Well it depends on your style. I think it looks fine. I wouldn't wear it because it's not my style. But I'd deff think it would look hot on the right person! =) ...the person who knows how to work it! But I'd suggest wearing a necklace/accessory or a clutch that match both the dress and shoes to tie it together if you don't want to take that chance..
As for wearing to a graduation, I would wear whatever I wanted to wear to my graduation. =p

Even if it's just a hair clip or hair band the same colour. Or nails!
Do pretty much whatever with you're makeup, pretty neutral.
But I think you definitely need to accessorize a bit so the shoes don't stick out like a sore thumb a bit.

The coral shoes, like the dress are also one-wears, meaning that they are extremely difficult to put them into another matching outfit. They're both quite costy and its not worth buying something you possibly cannot pull off, or may just wear once or twice..

Reply:Well most suggestions sound lovely but why odn't you go with pale green? like the same hue as one in th edress? don't go for very high heels cuz the dress's prints are enough glamour. Jewelry should be soft and simple. i would go with pale green velvet ballerinas or like one of the girls mentioned peep toes in the same colour with pale pink toe nails
