Shoes to go with Dress??

I have this dress that I would like to wear to my Boyfriends Basic Training graduation. It comes to my knees and it is a white/cream color with gold/amber accents on the bust area. Should I get gold/amber shoes? Or white? If so should they be heels, wedges, etc? What about stiletto pointy toed shoes?thanks for your help

I think it would look best if you wore gold/amber colored shoes, it'll highlight the part of the dress that is supposed to draw attention.





I personally really love wedges but if the dress comes to your knees it might look better if you wore shoes that were either a little shorter-heeled and elegant or you could dress-up the dress with some daring high heels. Wedges made just end up making the ensemble look tackier. The right wedges could also enhance the dress, you never know.





You should probably just find shoes that you like and then decide whether or not they go with your dress after you've already decided that you like them. :)

Reply:Whatever you do, you need to wear whatever you think is going to turn him on the most....warning guys change when they go through basic training, not only physically, but in every other way too


But wear something that is going to turn him on, but then again anything turns you on after seeing nothing but people in BDUs for a few months. The shoes don't matter.....and it's not what you are wearing but what you aren't wearing that matters so much more to be honest with you.


I can't stress with you enough that more than likely he is going to be a changed man and that may take a little bit to get used to.
Reply:Hmmm...well depending on how it looks, because I cannot picture it, you could try patent leather pumps, peep toe pumps, or strapped heels.

Reply:Whatever you do decide to wear, make sure they are comfortable. By basic training, do you mean Air Force? Because if you do, I graduated at Lackland AFB and it is A LOT of walking so I suggest comfort. You WILL be walking around the base a lot. I would suggest comfortable wedges. And possibly bring just a pair of flip flops just in case. The weather could change all of a sudden.

I saw the most adorable gold flats at DSW today.


They looked really classy ♥.


They would definetly go wih your outfit.


They have other gold heels too though I'm pretty posative.

Reply:You should only get gold or amber shoes if you can find them in a color similar to the dress. I think heels are always a girl's best friend. Open toed would be best since its still warm out.

As for the heel...are stilettos appropriate for the occasion?





I'd go with a moderate heel (like 3 inches) with an open toe and a smoking hot french pedi on the toes.

depends on how much you want your shoes to stand out.





if you want your dress to stand out, go mild on the shoe color.





if you want your shoes to stand out, choose some wild shoes.
