I have a black dress i want to wear to a wedding.would i be better off wearing black shoes with it?

the other shoes i have are brown patent shoes.these shoes are much more dress.but im not sure whether they go with the black dress.also what colour bag should i take with either of these shoes.thanks

Reply:Only wear the brown shoes with the black dress if they are a bronze-brown, and you have a bronze-brown color bag to go with the shoes, or one with bronze-brown detailing, but if your other shoes are really not suitable for a wedding, wear the brown ones anyway. It's better to dress suitable for the occasion, and slightly mismatched than unsuitable but color coordinated. If you do decide to wear the black ones, take a black, silver or red handbag with you.

Reply:I think that black is more of a funeral color and brighter colors are for weddings. (my opinion) But the black shoes and make sure the purse is not black also beacuse that would be to much black. Try silver or gold accessories and a bag of that same color.
Reply:i'd say since it's a wedding, you should go with black and black. but for another occasion, it might be fun to mix it up with fun, trendy things like brown shoes %26amp; handbag (and even THEY don't have to match anymore!) but since you'll probably end up in some of the photos, make the shots they have of you for years to come, be ones that might stand the test of time better than the fickleness of a fall trend :) best wishes! :)

You can't go wrong with a black dress. But if you can afford to buy a pair of shoes, you can really play it up with color. Purple is really hot this season, even Fushia is sexy! You can pick any color (but for some reason brown, navy blue, and white shoes seem to look bad with black)...





Flats can work too...if you're not into heals.
