What color shoes can i wear with a brown dress??

My graduation is coming up but so is my prom..I'm only buying one pair of shoes for both occasions. My graduation dress is brown and my prom dress is burgundy...what color shoes should I buy?? I need help I'm not really good with coordinating colors. HELP!! I would appreciate it :)

Reply:Beige, tan or cream - if you have a burgendy dress too, i would recommend cream. Definitely not black!!! Black with brown, not good! White is too stark, go for a soft cream which will go with both colours.
