personally, i like to mix and match things that you wouldn't think go together. i think you should go for it.

Reply:It depends on your personality. If you're known for trying crazy color combos, go for it! If not, maybe a red AND gold shoe would work. If you're just dying to wear those new red shoes you got and don't care what people think, try adding a LOT of red accesories. Good luck!
Reply:It can be VERY tricky 2 try 2 pull off but u can try it. Also I would say maybe gold shoes 2 go with the gold trim, or leapord print heels, in fashion now they go with anything!!!

Reply:Yes. Purple is made by combining red and blue so there's no reason you can't reflect that in your shoes.


How prominent is the gold trim? You might want to get a pair of strappy gold heels to accent that.
Reply:Tough to pull off. A lot of lines are doing red/purple color combinations, but if the purple dress has gold in it instead of red, this might look funny. If you can pull off other red accessories besides the shoes (earrings, handbag, belts, necklace) go for it, but if you are just planning on a purple and gold dress with red shoes I'd say no. Purple and gold are so pretty together and there are lots of strappy gold formal sandals you can get that might look prettier.
