Do you think this dress is pretty? I'm thinking of wearing this dress tomorrow on a first date with a new boy friend. We're going to dinner and then to a play. I want to look pretty but don't want to over do it. Should I wear it or find something a little more casual? Do these heels look ok with this dress?

Is this dress and shoes would be cute to wear on a date?
I think it's a great outfit for a more formal date, like dinner %26amp; a play (as you said). I think your date will be ready to skip dinner %26amp; a play after he sees what you're wearing, but I wouldn't change a thing you're wearing, you look great.

Reply:Well, I think you should tone the dress down a little. Looks a little sluttish to me. shoes are cute.
Reply:Dear PrettiestGirliegirl,
It,s a bit short for a first date... Dinner and a play. IF your intention is to be "arm candy" then I'd look for a simple "little black dress" to just above the knees.

Reply:My first impression was that you look like a mistress - no offence!
Reply:If it was the 1980's. For real that is not even in style!
Reply:It's nice for dinner, but I dunno if it's right for a play...for a play you need something more sleek.
It's a nice dress, I say, save it for another date :)
Reply:It is a little too much.
Reply:hmmm you look nice,
but its all a little bit too black and halloweeny.
try and go for something classy, classic, like an A-line knee length dress , and i would straighten your hair,
Reply:Wear black tights, and a low heel or no heel dress shoe. And what ever you do don't tease your hair like that.
Reply:Don't wear it. If it's a first date just be youre self but still try to look nice and don't over do it. Hope I helped!
Reply:im sorry but you kind of look like you are going to a halloween party, so i think you should go for a little more color,
but if you still want black go for this really cute dress:

they would really macth.
Reply:while you want to impress ur new bf.. and congrats for that :D.. it's a lil much i think.. but i s'pose it suits the occation.. dinner and play , but you can still find a casual dress for such an occation as well, and just glam it up with a real nice pair of heels. The dress is nice, but if i were you, id tone it dwn a lil. have fun and good luck!! im sure watever ur in he'll LOVE it!
Reply:I think the dress is a little too short for a first date %26amp; I dont think the shoes go with it.
Reply:If you feel great in it, who cares what anyone else thinks? Be yourself. I'd rather date a woman who does her own thing, rather than play to the gallery.
Reply:It looks kinda 80's dude.
I think it is too much frill and too short for a first date if you are looking for a good man.
The heels look ok with the dress - that dress has few places you could wear it and not look slutty - so take care where you choose to wear it.
Dinner and a play are more conservative things - so a straight pencil skirt and non-belly showing top is a good option - that way you get to flash some leg, wear heels - but not look desperate to show you are cute. Desperate is a turn off. Good luck - have fun.
Reply:I think it looks OK, depends on what else you have, but if you go to the theatre , casual does not do it . you should definitely do something to your hair, i think it does not go well with the outfit , make it look less wild, pipe it down ad it will be perfect for the evening you planned .
Reply:that outfit makes you look like a witch... so unless you are in the play... i would go with this outfit...
