What style shoes to wear with knee length, empire-waisted halter dress?

This is for my prom =) and I basically have a shorter version of this I guess..

I hear that when you have a shorter dress, it means your shoes have to be extra nice cause people notice them more! Any suggestions on what style of shoes to get?? I've already decided on a silver color. Links to pictures would be great =D





Also, I'm thinking of something strappy? Except since my feet are kind of wide sometimes it doesn't look that great......

my dress is knee length and i'm wearing those type of shoes... i paid more for my shoes than i did my dress so they're exta nice!
